Mast Cradle for Trailer

Can anyone suggest a website where I can buy a setup to easily carry the mast on my trailer for travel?

You mean, without the boat?

With the boat, there are many very simple solutions, that are practically free:

You could get a piece of scrap lumber (about 1"x4"x3'), put two pintles in (see D&R Marine) and mount it in place of the rudder. Notch it at the top to receive the mast and tie mast and support to the deck cleats with a bungee or better strap. Also, tie the mast to the support itself.

In the front, a foam block on the cuddy top will do. Again, if you have cleats on the cuddy, you tie the mast to them. Or take a second piece of scrap lumber, perhaps a length of 4x8, put a notch on the top and carpet below, so you can rest it on the cuddy.

I assume you are in need of the support on the forward end of the trailer. The forward piece is usually an extended length winch support post. I would think this would be an item you would have to obtain directly from the trailer manufacturer; I have not seen them in the typical trailer parts websites. Magic Tilt has a line of trailers specifically for sailboats. I would start with them.

Thanks. The wooden posts are an interesting option. I may go that route if the magic tilt site is expensive. My boat sits on the trailer, and I'd like any advantage to expedite the stepping/unstepping when I want to go sailing. Now I lash it directly on the boat w/ line and it always takes time.
