I just bought a Mac venture 222 and it came with a Windex wind indicator.

I can't find any information on the thing could someone help me. Do the arms point ahead or back? the Red square on the wind direction indicator rides where? between the two red boxes on the arms so it points back? New to this please help..

Gr8,

The arms point backward. They represent the "no go" zone (10 o'clock to 2 o'clock, ish!). In theory, the closest you can point is when the red square on the pointer itself is outside the two on the arms ...

Oh, and BTW, if anyone was wondering what I do when I'm NOT sailing, go here:

OK, I know, not DS related, or even sailing related, but there IS a lot of wind in freefall at 120 mph! :D

This is a new world record for POPS, set on Sunday the 7th. 113-way. I'm in the black and grey at 1 o'clock, right behind the guy with the orange streamer. Who is the guy with the orange streamer you ask? Carey Peck. Yes, the son of Gregory ...

Oh, POPS means Parachutists Over Phorty Society ...

You can bend the arms on the windex to alter your no-go zone, as you learn you and your boats abilities as well as your likes and dislikes as to how far you point into the wind.
