Once you have the boat on any kind of support you can raise it using a 2x4 as a lever. Have a helper add another tire, brick or piece of lumber to your support, lever up the other end the same way and repeat. (You will obviously need a third support for your fulcrum).

Or, if in a garage, rig two loops that you can hoist to the ceiling with a purchase. Useful only if you plan on using the same setup again in the future.

With two - three helpers, you can lift each half of the boat with two people while the third adds another layer to the support on that end. The DS is not *that* heavy.

sincere thanks for a simple and efficient way to do it. I have been overthinking the problem for days and since its winter coming on I have the time to give myself headaches
