The current issue of Boatworks (summer 2006) has a great article by Tom Dove on the Daysailer. He also included a list of all of the manufacturers.

It was with some dismay therefore that I discovered an error on the builder chart that I have been consulting when discussing manufacturers and years of production on this forum. The original chart on this website is accurate.

I am therefore including the updated, and as far as I know accurate chart reflecting the manufacturer, years of production and hull numbers. Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience or confusion this may have caused you in determining the age of your boat or its manufacturer, or whether your boat is a DS I II or III.

Heard a rumor that manufacture of DaySailers will soon be out of a Southern Cal. company. Any truth to this?

Not that I am aware of. There has been some discussion by the DS Board about getting a new builder but no decisions have been made. We will be discussing it next week at the NAC's.
