I'm rehabbing a pre-1972 DSII and have some questions about mainsheet rigging. The boat had a mid-boom traveler installed but I am taking this out in the name of family comfort. My question is how to rig the main now. I've looked all over for adequate photos of the rigging but have not found anything adequate. A simple pencil drawing would help me visualize what my brain seems unable to process from words. Anybody skilled with a good No.2? The old rigging was a 4:1. I could mount the single w/becket on the centerboard trunk...? Or go back to basics, which is what I need described (with a pencil!!) Also, I'm rigged for a transom traveler but need opinions on whether or not to pursue this. I'm strictly a "day sailor" looking to have fun, go as fast as I can, and enjoy the nuances of this fine little boat. Thanks for your help!
