gooseneck repair

Guys, recently tried sailing DS 1 in 30 mi/hr winds , Lake lanier, ga - generated from a recent fast moving front - Unfortunately a shroud broke, mainsail yanked from my grasp causing boom to swing to forestay - This "snapped" the " connection holding the gooseneck tack bracket to the gooseneck casting at boom end and mast - What is the path to repair ? D&R has complete gooseneck with slide but appears all that's needed is the screew/spring used for furling boom . I dont see it sold seperately . Will the gooseneck casting need to be removed from boom in order to repair? Appears so.

The boom for the Day Sailer is the same as that used on the Rhodes 19 and Mariner. Stuart Marine sells those parts separately. http://www.stuartmarine.com/spars-rigging-1962-1968/ You could also call D&R to see if Rudy can sell the parts separtely. He answer to phone calls better than e-mail.

Removing the casting means drilling out the rivets. Easy enough to put new ones in.
