Posted: Wed Apr 29, 2009 7:43 pmI too like the dark blue/black hull! I assume that is new paint? Did you do the work yourself? I recently purchased an 81 DS1 that is still in very good shape, but the hull is orange and has the original "Spindrift One Design" decals & stripes on it. I would like to remove the artwork and repaint, but have never done that type of work. I read somewhere on this site that some brush paint and tip (with a ton of sanding) to get a nice finish, but that seems a bit strange to me. If I had someone do that work, any idea on how much it would set me back?
