I just bought a 1968 "Commemerative Edition" DSI (denoted by a little brass plaque on the cuddy). Its been in a garage for many years with its last registration sticker being 1991 and in really nice shape.

Can anyone provide any insights as to how (or whether) this "Commemerative Edition" may be different or special from other DSIs of that era?

For those familiar with both DSIs and DSIIs, would love hearing your views on pros and cons of each model. We really hate the DSII's centerboard-pulley system, and the less-open cuddy seems less accessable (though more secure).

We'll refurb the DSI and test it over July 4... expecting to keep it and sell our 1983 DSII if all goes well.

This may be helpful as to the pros and cons. All opinions of course. Brad
